What's new

Well, it''s been quite awhile hasn't it?
I can't believe I've let this journal stagnate for so long....
Well, time to rectify that right this instance.

I've been up to quite a bit, to list it all would take to long.
Needless to say things have been going well for me.
I've been dating Christine for quite a awhile now and that's going great.
I went on vacation in April and managed to avoid using my computer for a whole week without dying.
I went to one of my close friend's wedding, which was quite cool.
Though it was sort of funny seeing some of the more distant relatives get a confused look on their faces.
This because my friend Mike and his now wife, Georgia, don't drink alcohol and so this was a "dry" wedding.
So it was funny to see their expressions when they went to the "bar" to get a "drink" and being told "no."
I'm doing quite well at work too, I'm apparently one of the top 10 managers or something.
I'm getting back into running now that the weather has cleared up and decided to stay "nice"

So things are good.

Day of joy, day of sadness

Today was a fine day of spending time with my family.
Exchanging gifts, sharing stories, and remembering times long ago.
Peaceful and pleasant with nary a bad moment.
Took many photos and my last one was of one of my cats.
All seemed to be going well, until 5:00pm
when my cat began breathing with great difficulty.
My sister and I took him to the veterinarian
and they told us that they found that there was fluid in Soapie's chest.
They removed 120cc to help ease the pressure
They said they believed that the fluid was an indicator of heart disease.
and said that they would need to keep him over night after finishing some tests.
So we left him there expecting to hear about the test results later.
At about 7:00, approximately 1 hour after having left him, at the vets, we got a call.
Soapie had apparently collapsed in his holding pin and died quickly.
He had been on oxygen to help him breath with less pressure from teh removal of the fluid.
So they say he probably died with little to no pain.

So on this day of joy and merriment, I have smiled and laughed, and also cried. I had Soapie in my life for about 8 years and they were nothing but years of joy. Such a small life added such great meaning to my own, He shall not be forgotten. I ask that whatever kind of day you had or have that you share your love those around you.
You'll never know when they might be gone....


I really hope everyone did have a nice Christmas/holiday.

Another day

Well not much to say other than today is well TODAY.
I managed to finish a few pieces.
The most important being the BIG one that had been hounding me for a while.ie The World
I ended up submitting two versions because of this frustration with not being able to choose.
So I decided I'd submit BOTH versions.
I got two wallpapers done and I feel like I have actually done something "artistic" for the first time, in a while.
So today after I finish up a few things on the computer I'm actually going to go out and enjoy a bright sunny day.

It has arrived

Well my birthday has come and is actually almost over soon.
